I can't get the air assist to work on my Snapmaker Ray 40W right now.

When I first set up my machine, the air assist used to turn on automatically in both LightBurn and Luban. However, right now it’s not turning on in either of the programs.

Can you take it apart and clean it out?

Do not locate it where it can suck smoke from the laser work.

First of all, thank you for your response, Mike. When I took it apart, I didn’t see anything inside. Even though the air assist is enabled in the LightBurn software, it doesn’t run during cutting. Could it be broken?

Yes. If you have an ohm meter, you might check for continuity between the pins of the connector. It could be something as simple as a broken wire.

I have no idea what the indicated resistance should be, but it should not be open or infinite.

I’m grateful for the information you provided. Thank you
