I got my $58 laser

Update to everyone:****

I have a couple of things to say, I hope I don’t offend anyone!!

  1. My $58 dollar laser came in today. And no I don’t get to start a scammed channel.
  2. ORTUR” your quality of manufacturing just got blown out of the water. Sorry to say!!
  3. This little thing is about the same size as my Sainsmart router, (3018 pro).
  4. Made of 100% “2040” ext. alu.
  5. Three stepper motors with 3 drive belts
  6. Came 99% assembled. It took me 5 minutes to install four (4) M5x12mm screws to hold up the cantilever up in place and two (2) little bitty screws to hold one of the two wire troughs in place.
  7. This is a really clean machine and after looking at it for a few minutes, I can mount any laser I want to it with very little work involved. Also the power input to my ortur 15w., (aka 4.5w) is only 12V - 3 amps
max and the power to the (whatever its brand name it is) is 12v. at 5amps of power.

I do know one thing, I am going to order 3 more of these, that way I use four of these just burn my wooden coasters. I can keep these babies running 24/7. Use my larger working area lasers for my cutting boards, pic, signs and so on.

Here are several pics of the new rig., (maybe to many). Look them real good and tell me what you think, and don’t hold back on any true thoughts.

Right off the bat there can’t be any way that you can order all these parts to biuld this rig for $58. Give me your thoughts on the cost of parts. OH! I never have read it instructions yet, this thing has some sort of an electric eye mounted next to the laser, OK, that thing got to me and I just now read the instructs, that little electric eye thing mounted next to the laser is “ANOTHER” laser head. “Yes” this thing has “two” lasers mounted on it. That little thing is a positioning laser that shines a cross onto your work surface for positioning and turns off when you hit the start button, pretty cool for $58 bucks. Hay Ortur, lets see you do something like that without jacking the price up!
R. Cline.

I can’t get my pics to copy, paste and upload. What did I not do right?

Guess what, after reading the whole instruction book, well what I could read anyway, this thing has its own OS. “AND” I don’t know how to read Chinese, has strange buttons on it. Chinese lettering. Oh boy this looks like it’s going to fun!!!

That’s better than great. You should have posted where we slammed you with this…

Does Lightburn connect to it?

I don’t think you could buy the parts for that price, so you scored…

All I can say is that you got lucky. After dozens of people having tried to get a “deal”, you actually pulled it off!

yes, I got lucky, but new problem, I have been sitting here for an hour now trying to install the program, not working. L.B. can’t find it, my pc says it cannot open it. and I’m pretty damn stupid when it comes to crap like this!!
One more thing , I got several files last night on cutting out all kinds of cool stuff out wood or whatever. As soon as I learn how to to open these things,(I have never used a zip program before) I’ll get them out to “you all good folks”.

I’m gonna take a little liberty and knock the bodily fluids out of your post. I appreciate your excitement but we’re trying to keep it civil and family friendly. This is a friendly reminder that we’re all here to ‘Play Nice’.

2040 isn’t a known designated alloy - it is however an extrusion profile that’s 20mm x 40mm. You may want to consider a technical error in the sales documentation a red flag.

Just drag and drop them one at a time into a reply. I’d like to see this thing.
Any pics of the control board?

Well, the Firmware on the controller is a lot like an operating system but it probably doesn’t control stuff like a monitor or keyboard. The use of OS could be transliteration but again - Pic of the control board. If it’s powered by a Raspberry Pi, they ship with a Linux type OS.

If you put it in a google drive and put it up to share it i’ll take a look at it. It would be interesting to see if the origin of the design is stated.

Hello John:
I’ll play nice. On the 2040 thing, I was talking about size. I don’t know if alum. is rated in hardness or
strength of metal using 2020,40,60 and so on. But I did make a mistake about the rig. Front and rear “x” cross members are 2020 not 40.
A couple of days before the 1st. I posted some pics of the controller board. Not that good of pics. 20 year old camera.
When I said OS, I should have said, (I think) its own operating program? Like L.B. I did get an update program to run this thing on L.B. ( Is update the words to use?) A real nice gentleman here on L.B. sent me the link to get this to work on L.B. I have not installed it yet, maybe tonight or tomorrow. That link is
in one of the replies post that was posted a couple of days before the first of this month.
Earlier post when I said I was having trouble installing the program for the laser. It’s still not installed.
When I was looking at all the files, I noticed that there are two exe. files that will start and run the program, but there is no install file. No icon or quick launch button.
I’m all for sharing, Are you talking about the laser program?, and what do you mean by a google drive and how do I do it?.
You may have missed my post update, this laser is the Cenoz rig from Amazon for $79 bucks. I’m sill waiting for the $58 rig to come in. It might be that I am getting burned on the $58 rig like some people
said. I got one e-mail saying it was being packed and shipped with a shipping date. Now I get an e-mail saying it should be shipped in 10 to 20 days ! Makes me wonder now.
Please tell me about this google thing and how to do it.

Randy

After I ordered mine, I saw another advertisement and that’s when I knew I’d been had. Did a screen shot for the da.

Still have my fingers crossed for you…
