I have an problem with fill mode with my fiber laser

I`m trying to engrave text with Fill mode and have an issue. Its look like destortion.

As you can see versions 1,2,3 have this problem.
Version 4,5 have Offset fill and looks fine.
Version 6 just Line mode.
I tried different speed settings from 100mm/s to 1000mm/s. Same issue

Have you done a lens calibration?

And have you tried the same fill in another area of the laser’s field of view? Does it do the same thing?

Adding to above timing can reset to defaults after upgrading, need to redo timing.jump.delay or reload the backup config file. Timing issues really show up on text, crosshatch, bi directional settings.

Yes. I got this parameters from the plate on my machine.

Run the test anyway; sometimes the parameters on the plate are far from the reality of the laser.

Guys please help. Same thing. Don`t know how to solve this problem.
On image aluminum black card. 1 pass.
Cant engrave properly. Even in image mode.
Looks like laser beam should turn on earlier, later.

Your timing settings need calibrating.

I agree with this! Please review this page about Galvo Timings

To find out, if it needs to be earlier or later, turn off “Bi-directional fill” in the layer settings so it only fires from left to right.

The timings are set here in the Device Settings:

These values should be included in the config file that came with your galvo. Can you send us this file to check?

100% Timing/ delay

This settings I found when I install machine from USB

Also I ask Monport support for manual and they send instruction which has slightly different settings.

Seems like these parameters are not strict and maybe I should can “play” with them to customize them specifically for my laser.
THank you for video and massages. Will keep you updated

I put all files that found in config folder in archive.

I recommend increasing your “Min Jump delay” to 200us.
This value dictates how long the galvo mirrors should wait to settle after a jump before they move again.

The value of 20us seems a bit low. The only drawback of a longer setting here is a longer job time.

Try another engraving with the values of the screenshot from Monport with “Bi-directional fill” turned off and send us a picture please.

I run 4 more tests

diference only in jump speed100,500,1000, 2000.
settings on image(without Bidirectional)
So "distortion"only on right side of the letters

Please try increasing the “Min Jump delay” to 200us and use the same settings as in the screenshot from Monport. - Set the "Laser On TC to -200us.

Didn`t help. Bad result on all letters from right side.

This doesn’t look too bad if you ask me. Although, I’m not sure, what happened on the last T.

If you change your layer settings to “Fill shapes individually” instead of “All Shapes at once” it makes it easier to visualize the start and end of each path.

It’s hard to tell from the picture if the left side is just blurred from the picture or overburning. You can try to emphasize the effects by increasing the power setting.
If you do get an overburn at the start of a mark, increase the “Laser On TC”

The right sides of every character do show signs of an overburn at the end of each mark. This can be an indication of a too high value for the “Laser off TC”.

Review this page for explanations for the Delay Defaults.

Obviously, the settings they provided are not accurate.
At this point, I’m curious how the Monport-provided program would perform. Can you test this?

Or follow the instructions from this video on Galvo Timings.

Thank you for your response. I did photo with room light. Thats why its hard to see. But the problem still exist. I will do better photo tommorrow and will do some more test.
Monport provide me no name soft. It is called BslAppSimple. It`s even not EZCAD. I was shocked when I resived an answer. From support "due to the high rate of EZCAD motherboard connection
problems, we have replaced the EZCAD motherboard with a BSL motherboard. You can now use the BSL software for processing, which has the same interface as EZCAD.
:man_facepalming:
I defenetly would do some test there. But …god this is soft from early 90-s. Interface like windows 95. ha-ha

Ugh! so You ordered an EZCAD Galvo and they sent you a BSL instead?

I feel for you!

Make sure to follow up on the Youtube video I sent you. With the LightBurn project file they prode it’s quite easy to get your timings right!

No success for now.
Text( or image) shifted (extended) to right side(bi-derctional off)
I atached image from preview window in lightburn which show laser beam path. And we can see that have happened in this area. So laser beam back and we have right thickness. And this gap on T its “no need thikness”.
will try their soft now and look video you mention

Tests with different fill method in BsLAppSimple(monport provided this soft)
Nothing wrong. Dimensions are correct.
