I have BOXZY made in USA. Does LIGHTBURN control BOXZY ?

I went looking for some support documents for BoXZY and couldn’t find any.

Did it come to you with original software? Does it connect to a computer with a USB cable, ethernet cable or wifi? I don’t know anything about BoXZY but I’d like to see if it can be communicated with.

“I don’t know.” for the controller type, is insufficient data to determine if Lightburn will work or not. You must know what type of controller it has to determine if Lightburn will work.

A link to your lasers ‘site’ where we can read about it would help…

Might look inside the electronics cabinet read it, or take a picture…

Is is something like this?

I suspect this is running Marlin or Repetier. If so, it might work with the Marlin device type but very uncertain.

Thank you for your answer.
This product was discontinued. I don’t know its controler of this. The specification of this maybe not opend.

I haven’t heard of this machine before, so unless it’s running Marlin firmware, chances are that we don’t support it.

You can do a ‘free’ 30 day trial of Lightburn and see if it’s a grbl machine…

I tried to control my machine with LIghtBurn. My machine was controled its position of laser head. But laser beam couldn’t light on. Are there any commands to light on and off ?

Check the Console window when connecting. Does it give you information about controller type?

What device type did you select when you created the device?

Try enabling Fire button from the Device Settings window. Then use the fire button in Move window to see if you can get a laser dot to appear. Increase power as necessary.

GRBL-M3 (1.1e or earlier) is appeared. I can select only this. There is no Fire button.

You can change this if required. Devices->Edit. Not enough information now to know if this will work yet.

You need to enable this in Edit->Device Settings.

Then there will be a fire button in the Move window. You may need to increase the power level to see a dot. This might not work if the device type is configured incorrectly.

Is your screenshot showing the welcome message when you first connect?

It looks like there are people that have successfully installed a GRBL firmware on a BOXZY. You may want to check those. That will make it compatible with LightBurn.
