I have had a new machine and laser need some help setting it up ortur master 2 pr s2

hi all

so had a new machine its a ortur master 2 pr s2 with 10w laser

i have the extension bed so now its 400x800 but how do i set the soft limits as it has only got limit switches in then homing position

also does lightburn automatically know what laser i am using do i need to install drivers etc

There are a number of previous posts on this. Here’s one:

This is because the GRBL configuration is unaware of the extension even though you’ve made the physical change and the change within LightBurn. You can update this in Machine Settings by updating $131 to 800 or by issuing this command in Console: $131=800

Windows 10 should ship with the drivers necessary for communicating with that laser. You should see a COM port assigned to the laser in Device Manager. If not, then a driver may need to be installed.

However, you still need to create a new device for your laser in LightBurn. Push the Devices button in Laser window and try “Find My Laser”. If that doesn’t work you can create the device manually.
