I recently bought the Acmer P1 lazer engraver and it was working fine the first few weeks. When the roller arrived, I tried setting it up but realized it doesn’t fit so i took it out. I tried using the engraver normally and everything worked until it stopped moving along the y axis. Can someone please help
I assume you unplugged the Y axix to connect the rotary. Did you reconnect it properly? Check to make sure there are no bent pins in the connector.
Update: all wiring pins are good. when i push the framing botton it doese do the job. x and y moves to frame the subject but when i start the laser only X axis is moving not the Y axis. so it just cuts a single line on the x axis.
I don’t know if I’ll see anything, but please post a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon).
Does your laser have a switch to switch y to rotary and back?
If so it could still be at the rotary position
