Does your Elegoo controller board support WIFI?

Why WIFI? That is the least reliable method you can use.

yes but i can’t get lightburn to see it. how do i find out if my computer will support wifi?

What do you mean you can’t get LightBurn to see it?

Have you set up a GRBL profile? Have you selected the correct COM port?

Do you see any activity at all in the console window when you turn on your machine?

i am new to this and i don’t know about com ports or anything else in lightburn. I just wanted to set up a wifi connection on my desktop. Then I tried it with my Laptop which certainly has wifi and it still didn’t work. i was able to load the GRBL profile but is still would not connect.

i have to put the lazer about 20 feet away from the computer because i have no room for it near the computer and i don’t want to use a long cable.

I did a little playing around with the Wi-fi on the Phedca. I Was never able to connect it to my local network. I’m not sure if that’s just because I received a very early manufacturer demo model.

By all means you can go ahead and try.
