iCube sizing problem

hi,

as a total newbie, wanted to make use of the iCube’s 13 x 13 cm plate. When I connect it to Lightburn, it sets up itself correctly. But it seems that there’s some difference in sizing. If I want to engrave something on the right edge in LB coordinates it is just over halfway through on the plate. If I place a path outside the coordinate axis, iCube simply draw the frame randomly.

The question is what do I miss, to be able to leverage the full 13 x 13 cm ?
Ty in advance,

You need to home first, before you can use the full workspace. Additionally, make sure it is as big as advertised. Mine was 129x129 mm. And you need to check the cable on top if the limit switches can be reached, sometimes it’s fixed such that it’s too short for the laser.
All information can be found here: Sculpfun iCube series - Diode Laser Wiki

Thanks for the reply. It’s not about losing 1-2 millimeters, I could live with that.
Maybe this short video explains it a bit better: https://photos.app.goo.gl/zdQF3Qz9aY5LWrs19

I see. It seems you didn’t home first. Be aware, the laser area is not in the center of the base plate. It seems you placed you objects centered.
This is the workspace, the work area is the one with 130x130 measurements.

I recommend drawing a 130x130 rectangle and let this burn onto a wooden baseplate, then you see where to place your objects.

Thank You! Gonna do it!
