Ikier 48 watt would not connect after firmware download

I downloaded the firmware from Iker iKier 24/36/48W Firmware download link. Unfortunately, that firmware is for the V2 laser head. After downloading the firmware, my laser would not connect to my Windows computer.

I have the V1 head, and the correct firmware is under the download link iKier V1 Firmware Update Method, located in a folder with the name 1.499. after downloading the correct firmware, I was able to locate my laser and reinstall in Lightburn. Installing the correct firmware for V1 head solved the no connection to laser.

If the laser won’t connect after a firmware update, one thing to check is that the firmware matches the hardware version (V1 vs V2).

Installing firmware intended for a different hardware revision can prevent the laser from being detected by Windows or LightBurn.

I would also check with Ikier support.
