hey to alle. i want to add a 40w co2 to my fun rum :slight_smile:
and can see that lightburn is the program to go for. as it is only for fun i dont want to spendt 1000+usd on a laser. i found 1 for 500 usd but cant see or fint any info about if it is a okay starter laser. and if it can run lightburn.

Or others who might have an idea for what kind of so2 laser i should go for under 1000usd
requirements. must be usable with lightburn. and I must be able to add a camera to it

There are many variants of the K40 engraver.

If it has a 32-bit grbl type controller, LightBurn will work with the least expensive Licence option.

It’s quite possible that the engraver is equipped with a Lihuiyu M2 Nano
which will be incompatible with LightBurn.

There are many conversion boards available for these lasers. The least expensive one I’ve seen so far is produced by Monport.

Although the manual says that the processor is an ATMega328 or an Arduino they seem to be shipping with a GD32F303 CCT6 Arm M4 chip.
