Image always bigger than desired Workspace area

I’m sure this has been answered, but I can’t find it.

New Lightburn user. Was using T2Laser, but my windows tablet didn’t have the RAM, so moved to my Mac.

I’ve got a 15w Blue Diode laser running 1.1f GRBL

I have an image - say 8H 17W (Doesn’t matter WHAT the image is or the size, it does the same thing).
It wants to burn at 10.25/.35 x 21.5

I have it set to inches
If I give the command Go X10 Y10 it goes to 12.5" x 12.5"

I have origin set to X0 Y0 Bottom Left
I have set the machine status reporting to be relative to the workspace origin
If I switch it to use mm, and then do G0 X10 Y10 it’s right at the 1.5cm x 1.5Cm mark

How can I tell it the right size image to try and engrave without doing micro adjustments and then running a frame and eyeballing it?

Yes, and after er-re-re-re-reading the documentation, a low watt bulb came on. Changed my $100 and $101 to 80. Now G0 X25.4 Y25.4 comes right to 1" x 1". I do a frame on my image and it is (give or take a mm or 2) dead on.

duh…

fine, otherwise I deleted my suggestion because I was not sure you meant just that
