Is there a starting point setting for engraving an image file? I purchased a lightburn image file off of etsy and cannot get a decent engraving, using 3mm baltic birch. I am looking for a fundamental starting point that I know I will have to tweak for my machine.
Run an interval test with a speed of 250mm/s, power of 30%. Intrrval of .10mm to .25mm.
This will give you a good idea what it will look like when you run a fill to engrave. You can also run the focus test which is a great start.
I run my fill engraves at 250 mm/s, 25min to 35% max power, 0.22mm interval on 5mm maple ply. You will likely need to reduce power a bit. Hope this helps.
