Image flipped 90 and degrees

Hello. Hope I’m in the right place here. I’ve spent weeks experimenting with Lightburn trial and only got a few weeks left before I get it right and decide or not to purchase and continue with this hobby. It’s related to x and y axis and the preview image being back to front and 90 degrees off. The camera is a Mintion and the laser is an Atomstack P7. The image is 90 degrees off when I take the picture. I’ve tried looking for answers and found many but none seems to solve it. I’ve tried calibrating the lens and then alignment but when it goes to do so, the image is flipped and starts at number 2. I’ve tried changing x and y axis but this isnt really correct as I dont have an axis extension on the machine. I’ve tried changing the origin, this doesnt work either. I seem to be going around in circles.
Can any one shed any light please? Kind regard.

The preview image is, and always will be, a direct feed from the camera. The only way to change it is to re-orient the camera itself.

After doing the calibration and alignment, if you hit the “Update Overlay” button in LightBurn, it captures an image from the camera, warps it to correct the lens distortion, and then displays it in the background of the edit window in the proper orientation.

Are you saying that second part isn’t working correctly, or just the first? (If you can include screen shots of what you’re seeing that will help as well)

Hi and thank you for your reply. I was hoping not to have to move the camera to suit the software due to the set up space…of course if it is the only option so be it. However, I spent some more time on this and possibly fixed it just before your reply, however, after reading your reply Im now doubtful. It seems that somehow I have hit on the correct permeatation of origin and camera alignment and the ‘update overlay’ picture is correct and engraving seems to be perfect amd spot on. As I have only just done it with limited engraving, from what you say I may encounter a problem down the road but I’m pleased with the result today and if theres an issue I shall change the camera set up physically.
