It thinks the bed is much further left than it shows in the program. Nothing I do changes that.
If I understood you correctly, the problem could be due to a shape outside of your actual project.
Try âselect all shapes in the current layerâ in the edit menu.
@bernd.dk is correct, I usually add clicking on the âzoom to frame selectionâ next to the camera icon to readjust the screen. Sometimes the âjunkâ will be off the screen, zoom fixes that.
Itâs advised, if possible, that you supply the .lbrn2 file, many time we can find something quicker.
Good luck
Thanks, already did all that. If I populate the work area with more than whatâs in the top row it goes bonkers and will not work. The preview looks perfect but when I try to run the job, no way Jose. I believe the firm ware is corrupted. Donât know how to fix that.

⌠wait a minute, if you make a new file, do you have the same problem ?, is your shape always âmisplacedâ?
You could good as mentioned before send your file to better / faster be able to help you.
Here is the svg file. Legends Palace 1.lbrn2 (1.1 MB)
It frames correctly, but when I send it to print it starts printing in the lower the image in the lower right.
It runs against the left frame, it thinks the bed is out of bounds on the left side.
Assume the work area for your machine is large enough, donât have a K40âŚ
If it frames OK, which is generated from Lightburn
The file looks OK, so Iâd look at how your setting for âStart Fromâ and âJob Originâ, in the âlaserâ window.
You state it looks ok in the preview, that would indicate that you probably have some part of the configuration incorrectly set.
A screen shot of the whole window would be nice, but really need only the laser window and the window from âEdit â Device Settingsâ.
Notice the position of the curser as the head is against the upper right of the K40. It thinks the bed
is way out of where it is. I have no idea why itâs doing that.
How about the device settings?
The green square is at the lower left. Itâs because you have your âstart fromâ set to absolute coordinates.
This is not the file you uploaded, making it more confusing.
I suspect your device setting may be at fault. It seems to think your origin (0, 0) is at the front/left, not the back/right.
In my setup with my K40 and Mini-Gerbil, the home position is in the left top position.
But if itâs different with your controller, you can not use my information.
My time with these Chinese machines indicates that there is no standard.
Mine homes to the rear/left, some to the rear/right. I suspect the K40 is similar. Depends on who put it together.
Nevertheless they have to be configured properly, irreverent of where they home.
I try not to use top/bottom for reference as my machine sits on the floor not hanging on the wall.
Yes, it doesnât matter where itâs set it will not burn where it frames.
You are right, but in LightBurn I also âfeelâ âtop and bottomâ more like front and back, therefore probably my point of view on those orientations.
You have âstart from: absolute cordsâ selected. Could that be the issue? I only use that with print and cut and the camera.
Maybe I spend more time staring down into my machine⌠In the end, like most things, itâs all relative.
You have your origin set to the front left in the Machine Settings.
That is why in absolute coordinate mode the green cursor is there.
Interesting that it frames properlyâŚ
âCoshasian 3d boardâ, which firmware are you using and have you checked to ensure you have those firmware settings correct? The nice folks at Cohesion3D have some great resources to assist.
