I am using my 7watt jtech laser on my 750mm by 750 mm x-carve. Everything was fine until i had to move the system. My image now is a lot larger when burning than the measurements i put into light burn. I have tried everything i can think of from un installating LB refinding my laser, setting 750mm. Going into the device setting making sure it is correct in there, making sure all the first time things have been gone through when reinstalling, unhooking and hooking back up the cables, changing out cables. Everytime I hit frame it starts off fine and then continues down the x axes and tries to jump the rail then after I hit stop it gives me alarm 8. Homing failed. Cycle failed to clear limit switch when pulling off. Try increasing pull-off setting or check wiring. Please help i havent been able to use my machine in weeks and lightburn support has not been helpful through email. Thank you
Define move the system.
Are measuring units on both machines alike? … only a question
Another option is here:
(I refer to the pref. files)
check you haven’t changed from mm to inches somewhere, you can check this by drawing say a 3mm square and see if frames an area 3inches in size.
Move the system from a shop to another
Put 3mm by 3mm square and it will frame that just fine
I have the settings at 750mm but when I jog 350mm it tries to go off the rails and keeps bouncing into them like it needs to go farther. I have checked everywhere I can think of and everything shows 750mm and my measurements are in mm
Have you tried as suggested loading a copy of your preference file?
Yes it still has the same issue.
Any chance you reversed the X & Y plugs on the controller board?
Just checked and I did not
What exactly did you do when you moved machine from one place to another. Unplugging machine and moving it to another place without changing any settings should have no effect.
If you try and jog 100 mm what do you get?
I got it figured out. Some how my easel was deleted off my laptop and it didn’t have the setting for X carve. Thank you everyone for trying to help me!
