Image mode not all working

only grayscale working in the image mode after latest update pls help

On my LightBurn version from yesterday, (23:02), all modes work in image conversion.
That information probably won’t help you much, but it can limit troubleshooting.

We would need more info than this to help. What settings, what laser, and what do you mean by “not working”? Do you get an error? Is the preview wrong? Does it crash?

I have the same issue. I was adjusting photos yesterday and this morning I downloaded the newest version and now when I go to adjust photo the option is grayed out and doesnt allow me to click on it. Hotkeys don’t work for adjust photo either. I’m running a Boss HP3655 and everything worked fine till this morning.

Had the same issue but now ok check to see if pass-through is on that’s what was wrong with mine

When you try and adjust an image from say threshold to sketch; it either doesn’t do anything, takes forever, or says Lightburn isn’t responding and closes. Furthermore, if you do get image mode to work, the contrast, brightness, gamma, doesn’t adjust the image. And when you OK (exit back to work space) the image has changed at all. I tried multiple images and all have the same problem. I did the latest update this morning - XTool D1 10w non-pro

Before you start to adjust a photo, check these two things:

  • How large is the photo in the working area of LightBurn? Make sure it is sized to the size that you want to burn. In many cases, users open the ‘Adjust Image’ tool with the image scaled extremely large. The Adjust Image tool works at the output size of the image, so if you haven’t scaled it for how large you intend to run it, you’re making the tool do unecessary work.

  • What is the ‘interval’ setting on the Image layer? If it is very small, like 0.01mm, you will be asking the software to generate a result that you could never actually use. Set the interval to something reasonable as a starting point, like 0.1mm, then open the Adjust Image tool.

I do alter the image(s) using the tools you mentioned. I thought it might be the images, so I tried some I’ve used before to see if it was the image. I had the same results. It was very cold out in the garage, thus I let the computer warm up in the house and restarted everything. It seems to be working now. I think the temperature may have been causing a computer issue with the program. I will try a few more images today and see what happens.

I know this is a different subject, but I still can’t get the tool path(s) to function as they did before the update. It simply won’t frame the tool path and only frames the project within the tool path. Is there a new setting in LB that I’m missing?

Rubber band framing still seems to work for T1 and T2.
