Image tracing question

I have the following file that a customer sent me, which I would like to trace:

When I trace the image the result gives me an outer and inner trace as seen below:

Is there any way to get a single contiguous path from this image? Essentially I would like to copy circles(pilot holes for nails) along the image with copy along path but am unable to do so with the image as it currently appears. Can anyone help with this? A huge thank you in advance!

LB doesn’t do center line tracing. This might work.
Center_Line.lbrn (227.2 KB)

Nice result Ralf, but “The journey to the destination is the destination.”

And the journey is from Mackinaw City, MI to the destination of Daytona Beach, FL

I was hoping you would explain to @WillyOnePump how to get there next time.

Give a person a fish and they eat today.

Teach them to fish and they eat for a life-time.

I used CAD, so technically I cheated.

again CAD… third time today I saw CAD mention… think the cosmos is trying to tell me something.
haha

It’s not a problem at all.
In the example shown, it is the fastest to remove all unnecessary lines manually if we do not want to do it outside of LightBurn.
Center tracing is very high on the wish list, but unfortunately LightBurn is not “allowed” to just integrate one of the existing modules for the task, for legal/financial reasons as I understand it.
