Since updating LightBurn to version 2, I’ve been having major issues with my camera. The image refresh happens randomly, or only when something moves (like a hand) on the laser bed. As a result, the captured image ends up including the hand. I’ve completely recalibrated the camera, but that hasn’t improved things much. It seems to work better when automatic detections (autofocus, white balance, etc.) are disabled. Everything works perfectly with an earlier version of LightBurn.
If I close and open LightBurn, my camera will work once, maybe twice. Then it just does nothing. It won’t take a picture. Any suggestions
The same for me. It look like it’s a bug for this version. A workaround : disabling and enabling a camera parameter ( white balance, autofocus…) may reactivate the camera ( for one time)
Is anyone from @LightBurn support going to comment and resolve this issue? I have seen this issue in multiple posts with no real resolution. I have seen comments to change fps settings, but no real direction on what to change them to. This seems to be a major bug with the 2.0 software upgrade and Lightburn needs to fix this. It is causing major headache to myself as well as many other users.
Can you email support@lightburnsoftware.com with this please?
The forum is chaotic and we can’t read absolutely everything here, but if you send an email to support, it gets logged, answered, assigned to a dev, etc. If you include a link to this thread it will help provide context, including the time you’ve been waiting.
It would also help if you included information on camera type, OS, laser, etc. Saying “my camera” doesn’t give us much to work with.
Have you tried adjusting the refresh rate? At 2.0 lb, I set mine to 10fps, I set it to 60fps, it’s fine now.
yeah!! 60 fps worked for me too!!
I just went to Settings- Camera- reset the fps from 1 to 60fps and my WN-4k camera is now working!!
no more problems with beta version of lightburn 2…
something is solved… great
No , in fact no. its not solved.
here is a video about the problem
Apologies for the delay on this - for things you want LightBurn devs to look at it’s better if you email support directly. It’s hard to keep up with everything on the forum.
If you go to File > Preferences and open the settings to the last page, what camera controls do you have available there? You should be able to change the FPS rate there. The previous version of LightBurn would actually downgrade the camera resolution if the speed was too high, so it’s possible that was happening.
How long is the USB cable you have connected to the camera?
