Image with open sections

Hello, I have an image file with multiple sections. When I want to fill engrave it tells me I have open sections and will not engrave. I have spent a few hours and still not able to find all the open areas. are ther any pointers to find these open pieces? I have zoomed in as far as possible and found line ends, loops in lines etc, but have 5 openings I can not find. Couldsomeone else have a look at the file when I share…Please.

Have you used Edit>Select open shapes to locate them as referenced in our docs?

You can upload the file and I will try to look at it.

Yes, I looked at them using the preview window. I zoomed in as far as I could and not able to find.
NICKLE CHIEF KEVIN.lbrn2 (187.7 KB)

Use the following commands. Edit Menu> Select open shapes set to fill. Then Edit Menu> Close Path. That fixed all but one. Then I selected the node editor and zoomed in and found where it overlaps. See pic, 2 green boxes. There can be only one on a closed shape. Grab one of the green boxes and drag it over the other one until they join.

Thank you for the lesson. I first started out with 30 open places. These last 5 where hiding well.

Glad I could help. It takes time to learn all the ins and outs of this software.

Came back to share a couple pictures of this project…Does anyone know what this material is?
