I am new to this software and laser engraving in general. I have figured out how to engrave no problem but when I am trying to cut the outer edges they are not lining up properly and cutting off center. they are lined up together when I am engraving, but when I cut it is always a little bit high or low… Also how do I make it cut in less passes? I have to run 600 passes to cut through 1/8 inch plywood
It’s nice to have a photo or something that we can examine.
I’d suggest a ‘ramp test’ to determine that actual focus of your laser. I have a similar 40W (about 5 out) but cut my stuff mainly on the co2. I would think 600 passes is a bit too many… maybe a few…
I think you need to check focus… it is probably the most critical…
This is one of them, but the idea is the same led or co2 or whatever…
