is it possible to locate an imported SVG file at specific coordinates in the work area. I know I can move after importing, using Xpos,Ypos. I know that the default is the center of the workspace with file import option, or mouse pointer location if using drag and drop. My X,Y 0/0 position is upper right hand corner, I would like imported SVGs to be aligned with my home location.
As you note, it’ll be imported at one of those two places, so you must move it manually:
- Select the image
- Click
Move to Upper Right
If you have enough screen real estate, unfurl the Arrange (Long) toolbar to make it a single click:
One other potential option…
If you hold “Shift” key while importing the file, it will be imported with the original coordinates of the design.
If your SVG design already has your expected layout then this may work for you.
