If I have a file I made in illustrator, with both vector cut lines and an image, what is the best file format to bring it into Lightburn as? My typical workflow is with pdf files, but when I do that, the image part of the file is all goofy!! Bringing in straight images, jpg, png, etc., all work just fine by themselves. I have had svg seam to work okay, but wanted to see if there was a way that works better than others.
LightBurn will read AI files directly, so I would suggest that. If you have Illustrator 2020 or higher, turn off the ‘Use Compression’ flag when you save, or save it as a legacy AI format. AI 2020 changed the compression format used, so if you natively import those files we can’t read them yet, and fall back to using the PDF preview content in the file.
SVG is also well supported.
