Inaccurate circle

Hello,

I completly new to laser problematic, so its most coomonly that my problem will be solve immediately or at least you can point me where I suppope look. I have to admit Im not sure if the problem is on HW/SW side and therefore I would apprechiate any help form you guys.

My laser is TwoTrees Tomem S 40W, running under Windows 10. After HW installation I moved to SW topic, where I followed included information to install CH340 driver, after then LightBurn found my device. However I noticed in console first fustration followed:

Waiting for connection…
error:7
EEPROM read failed. Reset and restored to default values.
$0=10
$1=25
$2=0
$3=2
…
Grbl 1.1f [’$’ for help]

ok
[VER:1.1f.20170801:]
[OPT:VIL,15,128]

======================

Here is my “project” as you can see, time to time outwork is fine and for example the last one, “lorem” is perfect, however circle looks like I did them mysel as 3y old. Plus check some text how is “flat” on the begging…

The laser was on sale, should I look for issue on the motherboard, is there something I could setup to avoid this occurances?

Thank you for any answer

Seems to me a belt issue on the Y Axis. Tighten your Y belts and make sure your machine axis are square to the frame

Thank you for speedlight answer! I thighten Y on the maximum, seems taht it help but still experiecning more oval as circle. Could you be more spicify/share yt video what you mean by machine axis squrate to the frame?

Make sure you reset your settings to default
$RST=*
in console
Also make sure you have not enabled rotary option in lightburn

This si significant result! Hwever you can see some inacurracy on the lastone, what do you recomment, tight all belts little bit more? The Y is on max.

//used command to reset console + Rotary is dissabled

I dont know the constructions o atoms (they are competition lol)
But as a visual guide Belts
I think your Y still need a bit more tension (Back and front motion)

Hmmmm I just tighten all of them and I experiencing move troubles right now… Ill let you know in sec.

// I thing the result now is much more accpetable! If I have option to tight the Y axis more, the result should be perfect. Thank you for your time!

Edit.

The Ortur LM2 has eccentric nuts (behind the wheels) these move the wheels closer or further from the gantry.
On the LM 2 the laser will move freely if the unit is tipped more than 45 degrees in any direction, if there is binding it could be Belts too tight or not tight enough, some wate material under the belt causing the wheel to skid, or eccentric nuts causing the wheel to bind.

// I tired to… what do you think guys?

Looks good. Hope you’ve got it all sorted now.

You right, I got a chance to play with with wheels and now its seem serious. Im not sure if its not tight now (it need a pressure when I move it manually) but when I turn LightBurn its work perfectly… Thank you guy for help!

Hello,

sorry for bothering you again but I start to be frustrating again. Here is my observation:

  • after you helped me to set up machine, it worked few days wo problem
  • then the circle started be innacurate so I run diagnostic and
  • I changed the belts for the newone (2TG) (x) because I found there was some damage
  • then I playd straiht for one week with tightness and adjusting wheels

The machine is seems to work properly only when is running either x o y axis, but combination is somehow “lagging”. Please find video below:
