Inconsistent Engrave/Cut quality - Comgrow Z1

I’ve been having this issue mainly on Wood and Acrylic only. On Glass everything is fine.

Basically, Text/Pictures come out either really poor, or offset. Also it’s almost like my laser module jumps at times. I’ve included two example pictures of Engraves & Cuts I’ve run and my LB settings.

I’ve already tightened all belts and screws on the frame and Laser. I’ve made sure to focus the laser with the provided acrylic chunk Comgrow provides. And I’ve also slowed the process way down.

I’ve got another file of State shapes that cuts from the basswood with nearly no issues. Also, I do not have an air assist ATM

I’m not sure what else to do at this point so I’m looking for Suggestions.

I know you said you’ve gone through the machine and everything is tight, but those results say otherwise. Scale this file up to fit your workbed, turn off all optomizations and run it on cardboard at high speed with enough power to get a good mark on the cardboard. Post a photo of the results.

Working on it now

Do you by chance have the rotary enabled? If not your Y axis is way out of calibration. Those ovals should be round.

The ovals are because I had to stretch the image. It appears like that in LB too

Oh, I was expecting you to scale proportionately. With that info, I don’t see any mechanical issues, at least not enough to explain your issue.

Thus my confusion on what’s going on. I thought it was an unstable table. So I moved it to a more stable spot. Then I thought maybe the unlevel nature of the floor was impacting, I leveled. I even fabricated my own enclosure thinking the window I had open behind it directed enough air flow in to affect. Nope.
