Inconsistent laser burn

I have an Ortur Laser Master 2, and I’ve noticed in the past couple projects that my laser isn’t burning consistently. In some areas it looks normal, and in other areas, it appears as though the strength of the laser wasn’t working properly. The design isn’t as crisp or clear as it is in other spots within the same project. I have all the normal settings that I typically use in terms of power and speed, so I’m wondering what could be causing this problem?

Have you cleaned the lenses recently?

Yes, I have, but I’m also watching some videos that say the barrel that holds the lease itself may need to be replaced. Thanks for your fast response!

I recently had a similar problem. After changing mirrors out and ensuring a clean lens it ended up that the tube was slowly failing. How old is your tube?
