I am getting inconsistent engraving results on a UV 10W laser.
I apply a preset from the material library and it does what it should. However, if I change any parameter and change it back to what the material preset was. For example, change Q-Pulse from 1 to 2 and then back to 1 and then Save. The results are vastly different. See photo.
I’d suggest you find a manual on your lasers source to ensure you’re following the right path.
I have a 60W MOPA, if I select a q-pulse of 1, I get a cw machine not a pulsed fiber, that I expect. I believe there are only a few waveform available for the software to use.
Could your source be similar?
I don’t know about UV sources… so it’s speculation.
