I have the combination of a 3018 Pro machine with a Lightburn S9 motherboard and Neje 30820 laser module.
Now the next problem occurs that the dimensions of objects/rectangles are not displayed correctly.
As an example, a rectangle of 200 x 200 mm is given with the dimensions 20 x 20 mm.
If you have selected unusually large fonts on a small screen, some of the digits may not appear in the numeric boxes:
If that’s not it, then screenshots of the LightBurn layout showing the problem would be helpful:
If the actual laser-cut pattern has a different size than the LightBurn layout, then pictures of the results (including a metric scale) will be helpful.
The Lightburn settings are 100 x 100 mm. If I laser the project
the dimensions are reduced 10x and the horse is mirrored. The machine is a
3018 Pro with a Sculpfun S9 motherboard and a Neje S N30820. I also have a Sculpfun S9 and when I use the same Lightburn settings the result is ok.
It looks like the cause must be the Neje N30820 laser module? I hope someone has a solution for me.
Thank you in advance.
Herman
Because you have a custom setup, the default Sculpfun configuration won’t work.
Have you configured the GRBL settings for the 3018 hardware?
In particular, the step/mm and maximum speeds for the axes will be completely different. Those settings account for the problems you’re having, but you must make other changes, too.
