Does anyone know how to build a project on inkscape and ensure the layers are loaded into Lightburn when imported? I think Inkscape is wonderful but even thought I have layers in Inkscape, they are not represented in lightburn. I know I can manually separate them when imported, but seems like both software are powerful enough to not need manual separation.
I just popped off a test by creating on a single Inkscape layer a closed object in one color and a different shape in another color. Saving the file in native SVG format allowed me to import it to LightBurn. Each individual colored object was placed on its own layer.
And to assist, here is the entire LightBurn color palette.
@Rick You were right. I was previously exporting in Inskape SVG but needed to export via “Plain SVG”
