I am wowing with text and I need to inset the approximation symbol into text that is CDM_MC. I am having trouble getting the right keystrokes. Can you guys help out please?

On MacOS, you can create that symbol by pressing Opt+X while editing text, but that hotkey combo is used for exporting objects in LightBurn.
You can either copy and paste the symbol every time you need it (annoying but recommended), or you can change the hotkey assignment in LightBurn (easier for typing, but you then need to manage/remember your custom hotkey)
Don’t want to sound like an idiot, but I have been trying to copy the symbol from website text. I can copy, but can’t paste into LB. Can you better explain the Option x keys? When you do that, it opens the export window and I don’t know how to change it. (like you stated)

Looking into CDM_NC, it doesn’t appear to have a character for ≈ and usually processes the symbol as a blank space. So regardless of whether you paste ≈ or use the hotkey, the ≈ symbol will not be output in CDM_NC.
You can insert your symbols manually using another font and text box, or if you’re willing/able to you can use another font that does support ≈, like Arial or Simplex.
But, if you’d like to try and find your own workaround, you can access the Hotkey Editor by going to File → Preferences → Edit Hotkeys, and change “Export” from Opt+X
I just use the tilde (~) for mine. It’s also known as an approximation for the value following it.
