Insert nodes with key strokes

Hi - i am trying to insert a node in a circle to break it into segments. When I use the command i keystroke, this automatically wants to insert something (opens the insert dialogue box). Is there another way to insert a node into a circle?

This may be an issue of procedure. Try this:

  1. Convert circle to path by selecting circle and then Edit->Convert to Path
  2. Select the Edit Nodes tool in the left toolbar, then click on circle. You should see the existing nodes of the circle
  3. Hover your mouse pointer over the part of the circle where you want to add a node
  4. Push ā€˜I’ key on your keyboard.

You should now have an additional node where you pushed ā€˜I’.

Thanks - worked well!
