Is MillMage compatible with OneFinity Woodworker CNC / BuildBotics controller?

I currently have a Onefinity Woodworker CNC with Makita router using the Buildbotics controller (firmware version 1.0.9). I use the latest version of Carveco Maker to design my projects then download the G code to a thumb drive and load into the Buildbotics controller on the 1F. Would MillMage support my current process? If so, is there a way for me to use my current library of Carveco / Gcode files in Millmage? Just wondering if I would have to re-create all my existing files in MillMage if I made the switch from Carveco.

Yes. Millmage supports these machines by allowing a user to export a file (save to SD card or USB stick) so the file can be loaded into the controller. These controllers are considered CAM only support.

I seriously doubt the Carveco design files will work. They likely have a proprietary format. But if the Carveco can export the designs in DXF, PDF, JPG, or SVG format, you can Import them into Lightburn.

Of course, you will not export the tooling information, but at least you will be half way there.

Thank you for confirming Rick! I will download the trial version and see how it works.

Thanks Mike. It looks like the Carveco files are saved as ###.art format so I’m guessing it’s proprietary and won’t work. Carveco is a great product however since I mainly run profile cuts I am only getting a fraction of the value of the program - and I’d like to get away from the monthly subscription fees.

It sounds like MM will support my machine so I am going to download the trial version and give it a shot on some new files. If it’s anything like Lightburn - which I use on my laser and works great - I’m hopeful it will work.

The design interface is a whole lot like lightburn. The major difference is that Lightburn designs are Layers, but MillMage has Operations. The Layers only separate the design elements for assigning Operations. Easy once you get the hang of it.
