I cannot seem to find this feature, with my limited use of LightBurn I already have several LightBurn files with common objects that I use regularly. Most of the objects are easy to reproduce but do take time (not a lot:-).
So, I’m looking for an “Objects Library” that works like the “Materials Library”.
The only way I can use these already created objects in a current project is to open a new window, open my LightBurn Catalog file, select the object(s) and copy from one to the other.
I have viewed many incredibly helpful videos, and they all seem to create the same object each time.
Thanks again, “Art Library” is for graphics, it does not store LightBurn objects with all their attributes.
An “Objects Library” would work in exactly the same way but it will store objects, so an image object in the Objects Library would include all of the object’s attributes.
Let’s say you have a fantastic Christmas Tree graphic which includes various intricate layers of engraving and a cut layer. It is then personalized for sale. You have 3 different types of material, etc.
You would then have ChristmasTree3mm, ChristmasTree6mm and say ChristmasTree18mm, the 18mm would also include everything for “pass through”.
Thanks. A template is just the same as a project, one cannot access just an object within the template, the Art Library is exactly what I’m suggesting, except for LightBurn objects.
Thank you very much. All I did was read the docs. and did not test the “Art Library”, so I just tested it and it does do everything I have been asking for. Any object can be added and without fully testing all the attributes are saved and when copied into a new project it’s perfect.
I think the doc. and video should be changed to include this info. as my original question was based on reading about the Art Library.
