Is there a Default value for the stepper motors?

Hi all and thanks for tour help.

I had a small discrepancy between X & Y when cutting a square. I did some test runs and they are now the same to such an extent that when I draw and cut a box of 25mm x 25mm, the sides are 25mm and maybe off by 0.03mm. Where does this leave kerf values? I now discover that when using my old kerf value, the tabs don’t fit when doing boxes. I will appreciate some help here. All the videos I’ve watched about establishing the kerf, all squares cut were under what was drawn in the software and the difference is then used to determine the kerf. Please advise.

25mm and maybe off by 0.03mm

it’s not enough to have a noticeable impact on kerf (not something that can’t be compensated for), could there be something else, like non-closed shapes, that’s bothering you?
