Like I would like the 4 topp nodes to align at the same hight and horizontally.
If you mark them now and
align lets say H-Center, you move the whole “body” up/down, not just the nodes.
No, I do want to change the geometry. I want to be able to make the 4 on top horisontal and on a line.
But everything under should stay where they are. If you try to “Push ‘A’ on keyboard” now you twist the hole design
This is changing the geometry, meaning that the shape is actually changing.
I’m not aware of a one-step method of doing this in the way that you’ve described.
A few ideas:
if you want to the result to be exactly as indicated where the nodes move vertically but not horizontally up to a specific height I would approach this by creating temporary “construction” shapes that have nodes at the desired end points. You can use the alignment tools to get those construction shapes to be situated where you want them. Then move the nodes to snap to the nodes of the construction shapes representing the final vertical and horizontal positions that you wanted.
If precise placement is not required as long as the top is horizontal then move nodes manually roughly beyond where you want them. Then use boolean operation to remove a single large shape across both shapes on top, leaving a fully horizontal top.
Ok, thanks for the reply. I think I’l do things in Affinity Designer and then import it in Lightburn then.
It’l save a lot of time when you can do it in one operation insted of many. But thanks for your time.
I hope that it’l come to Lightburn eventualy.
