I attempted this with Copy Along Path.
Make sure you start with the start node of the path or some wild looking stuff will happen.
I drew a challenging path. Start node ls lower left. I drew it roughly counterclockwise and closed it. I don’t believe that closing it is essential.
Then I drew the dash and the dot on another layer and grouped the dash-dot.
I aligned the end of my line sample to the start node.
Then I used the rotate tool to get it close.
Then with the dash dot selected, I selected the path.
Click Arrange, click Copy Along Path…
The pattern repeats every 5.5mm so that was my distance.
Then I turned off the layer with the path in it.
It’s not perfect but I’ll test the Warp tool in the corners.
Pick a rough looking corner.
Select the dash-dot group
This is how it starts
This is where I stopped.
press Esc. key when finished.
