Is there any way to measure from an edge?

Let’s say after I create a job, meaning that I set up my work space and I want to mill a square 10mm from the edge.
I created a 20mm square and set it 10mm from the edge but it measures from the center of the square. So what I did was drag out a line from the edge ruler and set it at 10mm then snapped the square to it. Was this correct, or is there a faster way?

Go easy on me please, I’m still on the trial. (Loving it btw)

Also, can I set the line that I drug in from the ruler to be not selectable? Can I lock it in place?

Everything you ask is the same in MillMage and Lightburn.

but it measures from the center of the square.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I would have simply positioned the square using the X and Y position boxes. You have to pick the right button to which those values will apply.
