Issue with rotary setup test

Not PiBurn or anyone else will be able to give you the correct steps/rotation. With most co2 machines of this size you need to read what the steps/rotation are on the motor driver and multiply it by the motor/drive wheel ratio.

I think it’s explained in this link.

These are digital devices and they stay digital up to the motor. If it’s not direct drive, like yours, then you induce a very minor analog change to the machines. I’m trying to say if you set it up, then the only thing that should change is the ratio of the motor to driving wheel.

The photo is very helpful, but a link to the device itself or the device make/model so we can google it is very helpful as we can see what they suggest.

The stepper motor driver has the basic settings to make the motor rotate 1 complete turn. I wouldn’t change this, just the software values. Don’t want to make it where you have to change the innards of the hardware to use the rotary.

I have two rotaries, a chuck and a PiBurn, both use different values depending on which machine I’m using, fiber or co2 both are setup using information from the motor driver.

I hope this makes sense?

If you have issues, sing out.
