Still a newbie running in trial mode. I think when I first started playing with LightBurn, I messed up the file reference by deleting a file out of the Art Library outside of LightBurn. LightBurn is running good for me now (thanks to some help here in another thread) but for this one notification which pops up whenever I boot LightBurn. It’s easy enough to dismiss, but it would be nice to get rid of it. (It only happens on boot-up.)
I tried creating a dummy 01.db file in the Art Library to see if LightBurn would see it and but that didn’t work (got the same boot message). Any thoughts?? Thanks.
The notification lists 01.db and not a 01.lbart as with other lightburn files. I already tried creating an 01.lbart file and unloading it, but that doesn’t work. I created a “dummy” 01.db file but it apparently wasn’t recognized by LightBurn.
Not sure how to create a “new art library”. I don’t understand that option. Please explain a bit further.
Clicked NEW in the Art Library but all that wants to do is create a new Art Library .lbart file. I already have an 01.lbart file which I created to see if that would fix the issue but no-go. I loaded and unloaded that file a couple of times into the Art Library palette (unloaded at this point).
I deleted the Materials Library (which had two .db files in it - saved those to another folder) and created a new Materials Library folder with nothing in it. Same result on boot. The notification is showing the path as expecting the file to be in the Art Library folder??
Create the cut library and copy it to the directory that’s in the error. I zoomed in closely to your error and it is the .CLB file. It just looks like .db
Actually, I think I got it fixed. What I did was copy one of the legit .db files (that were in the Materials Library) to the Art Library, and renamed it to 01.db. I cleared out the dummy 01.clb file that was there from my previous attempts. Success. The only weirdness now is that I have an 01.clb file in the Art Library and I assume if I delete it, my issue will come back. I’m happy to leave it there but if anyone has any ideas on removing it, let me know.
Try this. From the materials library, do a Save As and redirect the file location somewhere not in the Art Library folder. Once you’ve saved the file, delete the one in Art Library with an external tool.
It is as was pointed out to me a clb file - it shows up on screen and in the file browser as db because of the spacing of the letters. I’m new enough to LightBurn to not know that difference and thought maybe it was a data base file (db). Anyway it is a clb but it’s in the Art Library folder. Hope it’s happy there:)
Hooray!! That did it. I did a save from the material library (“Library”) to the Materials Library folder and erased the 01.clb from the Art Library as you suggested. Boots clean now and the 01.clb is gone. I think way back when I first started playing around with LightBurn, I may have saved from the Materials Library to the Art Library by mistake. Then when I saw the .clb file in the Art Library, I deleted it outside of LightBurn. LightBurn was directed to and looking for that file in the Art Library and couldn’t find it.
Anyway, thanks everyone for your input and solutions - we finally got there.
