I noticed after the latest update that tabs/bridges appear to be broken. Everything looks like it should be good in the settings and my design shows the tabs. However, they tabs are not inserted while it’s cutting. I tried just making a simple circle and put a tab on it. I’ve tried various tabs sizes and percent of max power. Nothing seems to change in the cut that appears a tab is trying to my formed. I’m using an OMTech MF2028 100W with the Ruida controller. Everything was working prior to the update.
Here’s my settings that I’m using. Normally I use smaller tabs and set at 50%. But with these issues I upped some of the settings to see if it made a difference.
I don’t see anything wrong here, but you could try to put your power (for tabs) down to almost nothing, just to see the effect.
… and you can see Tabs in Preview?
When I did the preview when the power was set to 65%, the preview didn’t show the tabs. So off your suggestion I dropped the % of max power down to 0 and did a preview and I got the tabs to show up per my screenshot that I just attached. Do I have a misunderstanding of the % of max power? I took it that if I dropped the power to 0% that it would hit the tab with the full power. Am I thinking wrong on this?
You are interpreting the function backwards. 0% means it doesn’t fire at all in the tab area, 50% means it fires at 50% of layer max power in the tab area, creating a partial burn through. 100% means it fires at the same power as the rest of the layer, eliminating the tab.
