Hello
what causes such jagged letters?
The edge of each font looks like in the photo.
Text prepared as a vector, atomstack A40 engraving machine, 20% of power, slow speed.
Also, the machine always squeezes the bottom line.
The top is ok, the lower part narrows the letters by about 1-2mm. (Dogfather one)
thank you and best regards
Look into scanning offset adjustment.
It looks a bit complicated. I am new with laser buti will try tomorrow.
By the way,
by engraving only the outline of the letter (line), everything is ok. Size, shape, etc.
When engraving everything (fill), the machine engraves horizontally and the letter is flattened and jagged.
And by selecting (offset fill) when the machine engraves vertically and diagonally, everything is OK.
Does it also depend on that setting?
Or c
ould it be a mechanical problem, the machine gets stuck on the axis, etc.?
Thank you very much again
What’s happening is there is a little play in the x axis and every time it reverses direction the start and end point are off slightly. The scanning offset adjustment compensates for the play.
You can turn off bidirectional scanning in the cut setting editor and the problem should go away, but the job will take twice as long to engrave since it’s only engraving in one direction.
Thank you so much
