Jerk & Acceleration

I currently have a Mini Gerbil Controller hooked up to my K40 Laser. Since installing the Mini Gerbil it seems that my laser head sounds like it’s grinding and doesn’t sound to move smooth at all. I’m not sure what to do or how to fix this and someone said it could be the Jerk & Acceleration are way too much. Where can I find that at?? Any ideas on what the numbers should be?

You can try to compare the $$ settings, I probably have the same setup and it has been running for 2 years without the major issues.

Waiting for connection…

… I just see that we do not have the same machine, hope you can still use the information

Thank you @bernd.dk. Problem is when I open my Machine settings it shows this. I don’t have a lot of these numbers so I’m wondering if there is something I need to download to get these other $ settings that you have as well?

In Lightburn open the ‘console’ window, where it says (type commands here) type $$ and it will show you all the code.

in the console I type $$ and enter and then there is a readout of data from the controller a line at a time, not like in my post, here the formatting went wrong. Also try to get an explanation for the different addresses ($ 100 for example) from the web, these are gerbil settings.

here is a good link that deals with topic - https://awesome.tech/what-are-settings/

If you click the “Outputs setup” does anything unroll there? They’re rolled up by default.
