I am new to the laser world. But we used our laser maybe 3 times. For some reason the laser will not move left or right. We believe the z-axis motor (i think that’s what you call it) no longer works. We moved the connecting wires around to see if that made the z-axis work and it did. Is our assumption correct? I have tried to contact support and they are taking forever and I tried contacting the person we bought it from. They are also taking forever to answer. Is there a replacement part or can another brand of machine interchange with a Jiccoda? Thanks!
Have you looked at the end stops? If you press them you will see a red e’ message in the Lb console…
If Home cycle is enabled, then Zaxis must Home first, followed by X and Y.
You did not say how you moved the wires around, so your assumption cannot be validated.
This would eliminate the Zaxis motor as being the issue. That leaves wiring and the controller board.
