Hi everyone,
I suspect I may have found a bug regarding the “Save Job Log” feature, and I wanted to see if it is indeed a bug or expected behaviour.
I have “Save Job Log” enabled in my preferences so my app can monitor the log file and track jobs. This works perfectly when I start a job from the main “Laser” window—the run is correctly recorded in the LightBurnJobs.csv file.
The Issue: If I use the “Start” button located inside the “Live Framing” window (after framing my material), the job runs fine, but it is not written to the log file.
Since the documentation states this feature “Instructs LightBurn to save a log of projects that are run,” I would expect it to record the job regardless of which “Start” button initiates it.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Go to Edit > Settings and ensure “Save Job Log” is enabled.
-
Open the Live Framing window (Click Frame Button).
-
Click “Start” inside the Live Framing window.
-
Allow the job to finish.
-
Check the
LightBurnJobs.csvfile — the entry is missing.
If I repeat the test but click Start on the main Laser window instead, the log updates as expected.
My System:
-
LightBurn Version: 2.0.04
-
Controller: JCZFiber (LMC2-Lite)
-
OS: Windows 11 Pro / 10.0.26100 Build 26100
Has anyone else noticed this? It seems like the “Start” event in the Framing window isn’t hooked up to the logging function.
Thanks in advance.
