Job schedule editor

Would it be possible to create an editor where I could create a processing schedule where I could insert pauses and manually allow the process to restart?

For example:
I need to engrave and cut a traffic light:

  1. I apply tape to cover the paint on the surface underneath… then I attach the tape to my piece of wood.

  2. I place it on the work surface.

  3. The laser engraves the circles and only then, using the special “PAUSE” or “PROCESSING LAYER” layer, does the laser stop and move to clear the work surface, allowing me to remove the excess tape.

  4. By pressing Play, the laser resumes its work…

  5. Optional: If, for example, I need to pause the laser again after another job, I can simply insert another special layer.

I know it can be done by editing the Gcode, but not everyone knows how to read it.

If you set the circle to output-toggled ON and everything else output-toggled OFF, your module ban be returned home…do what you have to do and start the next process/Layer, after having toggled the circles to OFF and the other layers to ON.

I once hit the space bar on my laptop by accident and the job stopped dead. I didn’t know what was going on so I hit the space bar again…and off it went. Never did figure that out.

Optional stop and single step have both been discussed in other postings. I think there is even a Fider suggestion for it.

If you are saying you cannot make the Custom GCode edits for it, all you have to do is ask.
