After updating to the newest version of Lightburn V2.0, every time I try to use jog buttons (any of them) machine goes to back right of workspace and stops. I have installed the newest updates and nothing changed. Its not getting into limits, just goes to far back right corner and stops. It worked fine on previous version of Lightburn, pre v2.0. I have loaded previous preferences from older version to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
Which Atomstack laser engraver are you using?
Which firmware version is shown in the Console window in LightBurn after you connect?
Is the laser engraver moving toward its home position and stopping short of the switches?
Is there an accompanying error message in the Console window in LightBurn when this happens?
Please Select and Copy the relevant text answers from the Console window and paste them into a reply here. Itâs much faster to write and respond to than retyping or posting a pic.
Thereâs a slim but possible chance that a workspace offset is needed as a controller setting on the controller in the engraver and that it was somehow reset.
Have any firmware updates been performed on the Atomstack laser engraver?
I decided to go back to an older version of Lightburn(v1.7.08) and reload my backup preferences. Laser works fine when I did this. I didnât realize that I had got in the Atomstack topic. My laser is a FoxAllen Masuter Pro. I have been using Lightburn for a couple of years with no issue until I upgraded to Version 2. The laser is not moving toward its home when it does this, home is front left and it going to the back right. There is no error message and and its not getting into the limits. Its like its going to a preprogrammed position. Once it gets there the jog buttons wonât move it at all. There havenât been any firmware upgrades to the laser.
âI have exactly the same problem. When I try to use the jog buttons, the laser moves to the back right corner, even though the workspace origin is at the front left. Also, when I try to cut something, I get the warning âWork path out of bounds,â even though thatâs not the case.â I use a GRBL Controller (Arduino + CNC Shield)
