Jumps in X-Axis

My Sculpfun S30 Pro Max was upgraded to the Area Expansion Kit (935x905mm) and after a year of use without issues it has just started jumping around on the X-Axis.

In the images attached you can see it seems to only happen on cut layers, but I can etch without issues. It doesn’t seem like a mechanical problem, but I have inspected the belt and drive wheels for damage and tightened the X-Axis belt. I have also moved between my PC and Mac but the issue persists.

Any ideas much appreciated.

In the example below I was cutting at 550mm/min and the etch at 8000mm/min using Lightburn 1.7.04

Look at your circles. That looks like backlash. A loose coupling or drive pulley will cause what you are getting.

Thanks Mike, I seem to have found the issue - it needed more lubrication on the rail, after cleaning and adding some thin oil it was better. Reduced some tension on the X belt and it seems good again now.

Excellent! We all tend to forget about routine maintenance.
