Just Got the "Your License is valid, but the update period has expired message"

OK, I was not aware of this but what’s the workaround? I kind of like updates. Does this mean that I have to buy another license or is there an updated license for cheaper than a new license? I am actually glad this came up now because we are setting up more lasers/computers and need another license unless we change our workflow.

from the above…

Does the license expire? The license key has an expiry date - a year from when you first activate it. When it expires, it’s still valid, you just don’t get updates any more. If you download a version of the software released after your license expires, it won’t work, but any version released before the key expired will continue to work.

Couldn’t have put it better if I wrote it… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Just saw that. Now Im in the license portal trying to figure out how to extend it. lol -

You get extra time if you renew before it expires… might keep that in mind…

OK, just upgraded. No issues with paying it was just a surprise. Its great software but You know we don’t read things these days.

read what things?

I blame it on cell phones… so used to not reading the agreement and just pushing the OK button…

Most people don’t read these agreements. At least Lightburn is simple and easy to understand. Nothing worse than 20 pages of legalese to wade through, so smash the ok button… When I see that I reject it…

Yeah, Im fairly sure you could put a psychotic serial killing rant up instead of a license agreement and most people would just click through it. lol
