I know its been said before, but I just got my first laser this week and I can only praise how easy the Lightburn software has made setting everything up, how helpful it has been to be able to search and find answers to nearly every question I have had, and see such an active and interested community.
Thank you to everyone who helps develop the software and the community that supports it.
You will really appreciate this when you hit a problem. Congrats on your new machine! I think there are two types of groups here, those having fun with their toy and those having fun with their moneymaker.
Welcome and thank you for these very kind words. Glad to hear you are finding the experience beneficial. 
I’ll add a third type; those that write and support software to assist in these journeys. 
That still makes two groups, Users and Saviours. 
So I guess my pronoun is ‘User’. Do I officially have to add that to my signature 
Realistically I am having fun with my new toy, looking to use it to make things like board game inserts, the occasional gift for people, and help build a few additional toys (planning a vacuum former next with MDF).
I may also be under the illusion that I can make the odd coin but that is likely a delusion too far.
I am now also having to learn something like Fusion 360 to learn to design my own projects.
