Probably a reasonable newbie question, but with my simple 3018 laser, you set the focus distance depending on whether you are going to cut or engrave. Now I have autofocus on the K1 Pro, how does the machine know if I’m going to engrave or cut? Does the distance between the two no longer apply?
Machine doesn’t know.
It may or may not matter. You’ll have to test.
My K1 Pro, I move the focus up 3-4mm for engraving most things and leave it alone (8mm gap) for cutting thin (2mm th’k) wood. I haven’t gotten around to cutting anything thicker.
