K40 mini grbl laser stays on

turned on today to use and test button indicator is on all of the time? Laser power goes up and down but always stays on. I deleted the profile and tried from scratch - no luck? Any suggestions?

Is this a new development? (as in, are you sure it wasn’t this way before)

The only thing I see that looks slightly odd here is that $31=1 (It’s usually 0). That shouldn’t fire the laser though - I would look to see if you have a loose or shorted wire connection to the power supply.
